( PERSONALITY ) :
Mallowpaw is a friendly - if somewhat timid - tom whose most commemorable quality is his loyalty. The tom-cat is a bit too curious for his own good at times, often wandering into things he shouldn't have. This can be interpreted as simple nosiness to some, but in fact he simply has a .. 'natural curiosity.' He's not likely to hesitate when posed with a decision... 'Impulsive' is perhaps a good word to describe Mallowpaw.

While he may be timid in social situations, he certainly isn't when it comes to his hunting or fighting skills; he's desperate to prove himself to his Clanmates despite his kittypet roots. However, he also isn't as 'bloodthirsty' as a normal Clan cat... While Mallowpaw is willing to fight for his Clan, he's unlikely to be as willing to actually injure the other cat. As a general rule, if it's not an all-out war, he's likely to unconsciously sheathe his claws during a fight. This can cost him dearly, however.

Regarding his timidity, it can be somewhat of a problem for the tom. He isn't at all shy with his friends or even just his acquaintances, but when faced with those of much higher rank than himself he tends to close himself off. Perhaps it's for the best.. He's probably not ever going to get in trouble for disrespecting his leader. While Mallowpaw can be a bit of a pain for his closest friends, he's widely seen as 'the quiet one' by many Clanmates.

( HISTORY ) :
As a young kitten, Mallowpaw (then Fluff) was born to a litter of 6 kits on the streets. His mother, a stray, had trouble feeding all of her kits - there was just too little food and too many kittens. Eventually the decision was made to abandon Fluff, the smallest and so far weakest of her offspring. Then only about 1 moon old, he was discovered by an elderly Twoleg couple on a walk. They took him in and bottlefed him for the rest of his kittenhood; for this reason, the then-named Smudge could no longer recall his old family.
Soon enough, Smudge wandered into the forest - ThunderClan territory - with Firepaw, then Rusty, where they soon became part of the Clan. Mallowpaw's training has so far been coming along fairly well for the 2 moons he has spent in the Clans. However, he still seems to be adjusting somewhat to the harshness of his new home.
(REASON):
When I first thought of Warriors Rewrite, my initial idea was thus... What if Smudge had joined the Clans with Rusty? My mind pretty much took off from there... Soon enough I was making WR and ... ta-dah! Yup, I own Mallowpaw now... sort of... I play him? Uh, yeah... ahem...
Smudge has always seemed an intriguing character to me in the books; he's friendly and seems rather clever, yet still he denies the life of a Clan cat for his apparent reasons. However, as a kitten, he didn't seem as opposed to the idea... perhaps, if he had joined then, would his skills have been better utilized as a ThunderClanner?

A little black and white head poked out from the apprentice's den, ears pricked. Mallowpaw's eyes widened as he caught sight of Scratch and Princess just as they passed right by his nose on their way to the medicine cat's den. Hmmm? The kittypet-born apprentice twitched his nose, as if trying to bring back the scent. He was sure that one of the cats had smelled familiar, though from his short time in the Clan he could tell that they were not ThunderClanners.

As Mallowpaw watched the two strangers vanish into the den, he twitched his nose again, looking confused. That smell... that was it! One of the cats had smelled vaguely like Firepaw, although the aroma was not mangled with scents of prey and forest flora. Turning and rushing back into the den, he cried out to his friend. "Firepaw! There are some strangers in our camp, so get up..!" Er... maybe he needed to rephrase tha
